    Granada Earthquake Series: Over 1,400 Tremors in Two Weeks

    Granada has experienced over 1,400 earthquakes in the last two weeks, with many felt by the population. The series began on August 14 with a magnitude 3.7 earthquake in Alhendín and has since included two major earthquakes of magnitude 4.8. The earthquakes have been shallow, with epicenters between Alhendín, Gójar, and La Zubia. The National Geographic Institute (IGN) has received over 21,760 questionnaires from people who have felt the earthquakes.
