Romania Blasts Danube Rocks to Save Chernavodsk NPP from Drought
In response to severe drought and falling water levels in the Danube, Romania's military has conducted two explosions on a rock outcrop to redirect water towards the Chernavodsk Nuclear Power Plant (NPP). The first explosion used 30 kg of explosives, while the second increased to 100 kg. Despite initial efforts, the plant's first reactor has been shut down for six days, and the second is at risk of shutdown.
