World Food Programme Cuts Aid to Half a Million in Gaza Due to Funding Shortfall
The World Food Programme (WFP) has announced significant reductions in its humanitarian operations in the Gaza Strip due to severe funding shortages. The cuts will affect around 500,000 people, who will no longer receive monthly food aid. The WFP plans to reduce its assistance from 1.6 million to 1.1 million people, leaving approximately 1.4 million residents still facing acute food insecurity. The agency urgently needs $450 million over the next six months to continue its operations in Gaza and the West Bank.24 sourcesSee all sources
