    Ancient Noble Warrior's Tomb Discovered in Rostov

    Archaeologists in Rostov have unearthed an ancient tomb dating back approximately 1700-1800 years. The discovery was made during excavations for a private house in the Lower Gnilovskoe Gorodishche area. The tomb contained the remains of a man aged 35-45, along with fragments of a wooden coffin, a sword pommel, and parts of a leather harness. The depth of the burial and the presence of weapons suggest that the buried individual held a high status, likely that of a noble warrior. Numerous pottery shards from the II-III centuries were also found nearby.

    Tragedy at Larnaca Beach: Mother Drowns, Two Daughters Hospitalized
