Iran Agrees to Plan to Reopen Strait of Hormuz
Iran has agreed to a compromise plan drafted with Qatari and American mediation to reopen the Strait of Hormuz. According to the proposal, entry of ships into the Gulf will be through Iranian territorial waters, while exit will be through Omani territorial waters. Qatari intermediaries continue their talks with Iran to ensure the Revolutionary Guard supports the understandings reached. This agreement was one of the reasons Donald Trump canceled his planned attack against Iran.29 sourcesSee all sources
