Ukraine has started using heavy-lift drones to transport armed unmanned ground vehicles (UGVs) into combat zones, marking a significant advancement in military robotics. This tactic allows for faster, farther deployment of robotic systems without risking personnel. The UGV ARK-1, equipped with anti-tank mines or weapons like machine guns, is delivered by drones such as the PD-2, and then operates independently on the ground. This strategy aims to save soldiers' lives and force the enemy to contend with both aerial and ground robotic systems.
