Dispute Over Law Autograph: Senate vs. Chamber of Deputies
The President of the Chamber of Deputies, Oscar Reto, sent a letter to the President of the Senate, Miguel Torres, requesting corrective measures in the text of the law promulgated on legislative faculties. Reto expressed concern that the deputies were omitted in the autograph published this Thursday. Torres defended the procedure, stating that it was in accordance with the Political Constitution and the Senate Regulations. However, Reto argued that the law does not formally reflect the manifestation of the will of the Congress of the Republic nor the constitutional framework. Torres later announced that an errata will be issued to correct the error in the heading of the law.5 sourcesSee all sources
