Russians Reluctant to Move North for High Salaries
A survey conducted by the media holding 'Simple' found that more than half of Russians (54%) are unwilling to move to remote regions like Chukotka or Kolyma, even for high salaries. Another 33.3% are somewhat opposed to the idea. Only 9.5% are open to working on a rotational basis, and 3.2% would consider moving with significant bonuses. None of the respondents expressed a desire to permanently relocate north solely for high salaries.2 sourcesSee all sources
