Venezuela's Political Prisoners: Foro Penal Reports 344 Cases
Foro Penal, a Venezuelan NGO, has updated its tally of political prisoners, reporting 344 cases as of September 14, 2026. Among them are 200 civilians and 144 military personnel, with 330 men and 14 women. 153 have been sentenced, while 191 are imprisoned without conviction. Notably, there are no longer any teenagers on the list. The organization also reported seven releases and verified the status of 23 cases.
