    Rachida Dati Rejoins Judiciary Ahead of Corruption Trial

    Former French Minister of Justice Rachida Dati has been reinstated as a first substitute judge at the central administration of justice within the Ministry of Justice, two weeks before her trial for corruption and influence peddling in the Renault-Nissan affair. She will not practice in a court or tribunal. Her trial is scheduled from September 16 to 28 at the Paris Correctional Court.

    NABU's Operation 'Carthage' Exposes Official Protecting Fraudulent Call Centers

    The National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU) has conducted an operation named 'Carthage', uncovering an official from the Office of the Prosecutor General who was involved in 'protecting' fraudulent call centers. The operation revealed that the official, along with a criminal organization, allowed these centers to generate millions in income. The group laundered funds, spending over 20 million hryvnias on real estate, jewelry, and other valuable property, and re-registering assets worth over 12 million hryvnias to third parties. The organizer of the scheme was appointed to the prosecutor's office in 2025 and acted in the interests of a former tax service head, known as 'Andriyovich'. Five participants have been exposed, and the case is provisionally qualified under two articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
