    Police Foil 'Cashback' Scam, Arrest Suspect in Hubei Wuxue

    Hubei Wuxue police successfully thwarted a 'cashback' scam, replacing 200,000 yuan in cash with bricks and apprehending a suspect at the scene. The victim was lured by a fraudulent group, gradually investing more money until he was asked to carry the cash to a designated location. Police collaborated with the bank to locate the victim, replace the cash bundle, and arrest the suspect who was checking the cash bundle at a village committee.

    Mass Arrests in Poipet: 139 Suspects Detained in Telecom Fraud Raids

    In a joint operation, the National Police of Cambodia and the police of Banteay Meanchey province raided two locations in Poipet city, resulting in the arrest of 139 suspects involved in telecom fraud. The first location, a 7-story building, yielded four safes, one pistol, and numerous computers and mobile phones used for online fraud. At the second location, an 8-story apartment building, 139 suspects were arrested, including 130 Indonesian nationals (37 women) and 9 Cambodian nationals (9 women). The scene is currently under control, and further legal procedures are being carried out.
