Ho Chi Minh City Police Detain Chinese Gang for Online Fraud
Ho Chi Minh City police discovered and detained a group of four Chinese nationals who had rented an apartment in the Phu Nhuan Ward (formerly District 7) to make fraudulent calls to Chinese citizens using pre-written scripts. The suspects were deported on August 28 through Tan Son Nhat International Airport. Police seized numerous mobile phones and computers used in the crime during a raid on the apartment. The successful crackdown was due to increased efforts by the Ho Chi Minh City Police Department in inspecting accommodations and foreign residents in recent times.19 sourcesSee all sources
