Ultra-Processed Foods Linked to Health Risks
A large-scale study involving nearly 9 million people across North America, Europe, Asia, and Oceania found that consuming more ultra-processed foods increases the risk of various chronic diseases, including cardiovascular events, cancer, diabetes, and death from any cause. The study, published in 'Family Practice and Community Medicine', suggests that eating just 100g more of ultra-processed foods per day can raise these risks by up to 4%. Ultra-processed foods are products that have undergone multiple industrial processes and can be consumed as is or prepared quickly.3 sourcesSee all sources
