   A man named Daejon Love posed as a San Francisco 49ers player to scam at least 26 women out of $1.3 million. He met women through dating apps, claimed to be wealthy, and convinced them to invest in fake investment vehicles. Love and his accomplice, Taylor Jamie Chan, were arrested in August 2026. The scheme lasted from February 2022 until their arrests.
