Fragment Raises $12M for AI Accounting Safety
New York-based startup Fragment secured $12 million in Series A funding to develop software ensuring AI agents handle billing and accounting tasks securely. The round was co-led by FirstMark and BoxGroup, following an earlier seed round backed by Stripe. Fragment's tools use double-entry accounting to prevent errors, aiming to become a standard for 'agentic commerce'. With around 50-60 paying customers, including Ramp and BILL, the company seeks to expand AI's role in finance.3 sourcesSee all sources
