    Chinese Company Launches Laser Mosquito Zapper

    A Chinese company, Photon Matrix Lab, has started mass production and sales of a laser-based mosquito killer. The device, called Photon Matrix, uses LiDAR for detection, millimeter-wave radar for motion tracking, and an AI vision module for confirmation. It then disables mosquitoes with a precision laser pulse. The system comes in two versions: infrared and blue-laser, with an effective range of six meters. It can detect and kill up to 30 mosquitoes per second. The device is marketed as a chemical-free, automated 'mosquito air defense' system, intended for use inside homes. It is now available for pre-order in several countries, with shipment promised within 120 days.

    Man Scammed Out of 200,000 Yuan Helping 'Female Netizen' Trade on Fake Investment Platform

    A man in Wuhan's Jianghan district was scammed out of 200,000 yuan after helping an unknown woman he met online operate a fake investment account. The woman suggested using an app called 'Speed Chat' for communication and later asked the man to invest in a platform called '11'. After transferring money in five installments, the man found his account frozen and realized he had been scammed. The Wuhan Public Security Bureau tracked the money trail across multiple provinces, arrested three suspects, and recovered 30,000 yuan. The case is still under investigation.
