Putin Visits Command Post; Reports Significant Territorial Gains and Security Zone Progress
Russian President Vladimir Putin visited a command post and received updates on the special military operation in Ukraine. Key points include the liberation of approximately 6,500 square kilometers of territory and 310 settlements since the beginning of the year, with less than 10% of Donetsk People's Republic territory and around 16% of Zaporozhye region remaining under Ukrainian control. The Luhansk People's Republic is fully under Russian control. The creation of a security zone on the border with Ukraine is proceeding successfully and will not be a subject of negotiations. The pace of the Russian troops' advance has increased, and the liberation of Donetsk remains a main task.37 sourcesSee all sources
