Moldova Protests Russia's Opening of Polling Stations in Transnistria
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Moldova has expressed strong protest to Russia regarding the opening of polling stations in the separatist region of Transnistria for the elections of the State Duma deputies. Moldova agreed only to one polling station at the embassy building itself, but Russia plans to open 16 or 17 stations in the region. Moldova considers this move as 'unacceptable' and a violation of its sovereignty and territorial integrity.

Trump Administration Threatens Smithsonian Cooperation
The Trump administration has renewed its attack on the Smithsonian, threatening to cut off executive agencies' cooperation with the institution. In a letter, Interior Secretary Doug Burgum and White House Domestic Policy Council Director Vince Haley warned the Smithsonian's board that federal agencies could stop helping unless it abandons what the administration calls 'an ideological agenda.' This move comes after Republicans in Congress scrutinized the National Museum of American History over supposed partisan bias and the White House demanded signage to discredit one of its museums.
