Scientists Discover Six Mysterious Structures Deep Inside Earth
Using artificial intelligence to analyze seismic data, scientists have found six previously unknown large-scale structures within Earth's interior. Located near the boundary between the mantle and the core at a depth of around 2900 km, these mysterious regions may hold traces of a body that impacted Earth over 4 billion years ago. The results were published in the Journal of Geophysical Research: Solid Earth.11 sourcesSee all sources
