Solar Flares and Magnetic Storms Expected
Over the weekend, multiple solar flares were registered, including several strong M-class flares. These flares have the potential to cause geomagnetic storms on Earth. Scientists report that a plasma cloud ejected by one of these flares is heading towards Earth and could trigger a magnetic storm on August 28. The expected strength of the storm ranges from weak (G1) to moderate (G2).
