3 Million Palestinians Eligible to Vote in Upcoming Legislative Elections

The Central Elections Commission of Palestine has announced that approximately 3 million Palestinians in the West Bank, including Jerusalem, and the Gaza Strip are eligible to vote in the upcoming legislative elections scheduled for October 28. This includes around 1.24 million in the Gaza Strip, 1.59 million in the West Bank, and 140,000 Palestinian ID holders in East Jerusalem. Notably, around 53% of eligible voters are under the age of 38, indicating a significant youth demographic. Women make up nearly half of the eligible voters. The commission also stated that they will make provisions to facilitate voting for eligible voters with disabilities.
