    US Removes Radioactive Material from Guatemala Over 'Dirty Bomb' Risk

    The US National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) removed a highly radioactive material, cobalt-60, used in cancer treatment, from Guatemala due to security concerns. The operation, part of the US's counterterrorism strategy, aimed to prevent the material from falling into the wrong hands and being used to create a 'dirty bomb'. US and Guatemalan teams worked together to remove and securely transport the material back to the US.

    Ethiopian Airlines Flight ET302 Crashes Near Addis Ababa

    An Ethiopian Airlines Boeing 737 MAX 8, flight ET302, crashed near Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, on March 10, 2019, killing all 157 people on board. The plane took off from Addis Ababa Bole International Airport and was headed to Nairobi, Kenya. The crash occurred six minutes after takeoff. The cause of the crash is still under investigation. This is the second deadly crash involving a Boeing 737 MAX 8 in less than five months, following a Lion Air crash in Indonesia in October 2018.

    Cambodia Raids Online Fraud Dens, Detains Foreign Nationals

    Law enforcement agencies in Cambodia conducted a series of raids targeting online fraud operations in Bavet City, Svay Rieng Province, and Tbong Khmum County, Oddar Meanchey Province. In these operations, they detained a total of 34 foreign nationals, including Vietnamese, Indonesian, and Cambodian citizens. Electronic devices such as computers, laptops, iPads, and mobile phones were seized, suspected of being used for online fraud. The suspects and evidence were handed over to the Cyber Crime Department for further investigation.
