    Maritime Traffic Plummets After Saudi Tanker Attack

    Maritime traffic through the Strait of Hormuz and Bab al-Mandeb has significantly decreased following an attack on a Saudi oil tanker. On August 5, 2026, only two ships passed through the Strait of Hormuz, compared to eight the previous day, and only one ship passed through Bab al-Mandeb, compared to 20 the previous day. This decrease comes after Yemen's Armed Forces announced an attack on a Saudi oil tanker off the coast of Yanbu and another missile attack on a Saudi oil tanker in the Gulf of Aden.

    Moldova to Invest Over 10 Billion Lei in Defense by 2030
