President Alberto Stefani Injured in Road Accident
President of Veneto, Alberto Stefani, was involved in a road accident near Treviglio, Bergamo, while traveling to Milan to attend the League's Federal Council. He was injured but reported to be fine with only some bruises and scrapes. Stefani was accompanied by Senator Mara Bizzotto.

Chinese Woman Kidnapped in Thailand, Taken to Myanmar
A 24-year-old Chinese woman, Wang Ran, was tricked into traveling to Thailand and subsequently kidnapped. She was taken to Myanmar, where her family received a ransom demand of 600,000 yuan (approximately $88,000 USD). Video footage showed her disoriented in a poor environment. Authorities are coordinating efforts to rescue her.
