Italy's PM Meloni Protects Voice Against AI Misuse
Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni has registered her distinctive voice as a trademark with the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) to prevent its misuse by artificial intelligence. The registration, which covers a four-second audio clip of her saying 'Io sono Giorgia Meloni', aims to protect her voice from being used without permission for AI-generated content such as voice clones or deepfakes. Meloni's move comes amid growing concerns about the spread of manipulated images and videos created using AI.22 sourcesSee all sources
