    Former Georgian Prosecutor General Forms Russian Unit to Fight in Ukraine

    Otar Partskhadze-Romanov, the former prosecutor general of Georgia, has created a volunteer unit in Russia called 'Georgievsky' to participate in the war against Ukraine. The unit, led by Partskhadze-Romanov himself, is named after the Treaty of Georgievsk of 1783. Partskhadze-Romanov, who is under sanctions from the U.S., U.K., and Ukraine, has decided to volunteer to fight on the side of Russia in the Russian-Ukrainian war. He previously held the position of prosecutor general of Georgia from November to December 2013.
