    Student Amnesty Details Announced by YÖK President

    YÖK President Erol Özvar announced details of the student amnesty, which covers approximately 500,000 students, including those who have benefited from previous amnesties. The amnesty excludes those convicted of terrorism and sexual offenses. Students can apply until December 9. Those not registered in their program or whose connection has been cut off can also benefit. Lateral transfers require initial registration in an equivalent program. Universities will provide support for students to benefit from this opportunity.

    Kerala Government Makes National Anthem Compulsory, Not Vande Mataram, on Independence Day

    The Kerala government has made it compulsory to sing only the National Anthem during Independence Day celebrations, not Vande Mataram. Health and Devaswom Minister K Muraleedharan clarified that any patriotic song can be sung instead, and the singing of Vande Mataram was not stopped out of disrespect but due to it being turned into a controversy. He also addressed the reorganisation of the KPCC and the absence of Chief Minister V D Satheesan at an event.
