Transgender Woman Alexa Valadez Killed in Iguala
Alexa Bernabé Valadez, an 18-year-old transgender woman, was found dead in the Zapatero neighborhood of Iguala, Guerrero, on Thursday evening. She was killed with a sharp weapon around 5:00 PM while on her motoneta. This is the sixth hate crime against the LGBTQ+ community in Guerrero this year, and the third transfeminicide in 2026.

Storm Devastates TV Chef's Snack Bar in Saxon Switzerland
A severe storm in Saxon Switzerland has destroyed the snack bar of TV and event chef Verena Leister at Amselsee. The storm, which also claimed the life of a 28-year-old man, caused extensive damage to the bar, with trees falling on it and causing the roof to collapse. Leister had to cut her vacation short in Croatia to return and assess the damage. The operation will not be able to open again this year.

Autopsy Reveals Gruesome Details of Florida Woman's Alligator Attack Death
Brittany Clark, 31, died after being savaged by a 13-foot alligator while visiting Little Big Econ State Forest in Florida with her boyfriend and roommate. An autopsy report revealed that the attack was so brutal that Clark's arms were nearly completely torn off, and some of her bones were left with bite marks. Her death was ruled accidental and caused by multiple blunt force injuries.

Decapitated Body Found on Simón Bolívar Avenue in Quito
A decapitated and packaged body was found on Simón Bolívar Avenue in the north of Quito. The discovery occurred near an overpass at the entrance to Llano Chico, within the parish of Llano Grande. Police deployed agents from the Criminalistics unit to cordon off the site and begin investigation procedures. The body's head was found about 300 meters away on the avenue's sidewalk. The Metropolitan Transit Agency implemented a partial closure on the road to facilitate the procedure. So far, authorities have not reported the identity of the victim or the circumstances of the event.

Armed Robberies Drop Significantly in São Paulo
