Montenegrin Parties Propose 30% Pension Increase Amid Inflation Concerns
Leaders of Montenegro's Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) and Civic Movement URA have proposed a significant increase in pensions to address the concerns of pensioners facing high inflation. DPS officials Mihailo Andjušić and Danijel Zivkovic, along with URA vice-president Miloš Konatar, attended roundtables and press conferences to discuss the issue. They emphasized the need for a 30% linear increase in all pensions, with further elaborations to ensure sustainability. Pensioners are worried about their position due to the government's new program, which offers higher salary increases for other categories. The parties stressed that pensioners deserve a dignified life and that their pensions should rise in line with prices.7 sourcesSee all sources
