Iran Shopkeepers Struggle Amid Economic Crisis

Shopkeepers in Tehran's bazaars are struggling to survive as the economic crisis in Iran deepens. Soaring prices, caused by US sanctions and the ongoing conflict with the US and Israel, have led to a significant drop in sales. Many shopkeepers are fighting for their businesses' survival, with some manufacturers going bankrupt and laying off staff. Customers, whose purchasing power has weakened, are seen leaving the bazaar without buying anything. The country's GDP contracted by 10.1% year-on-year between late March and late June, and the minimum monthly wage has fallen to $65, down from around $120 a year ago.
