    Russia Unveils Jet-Powered BM-35 Kamikaze Drone

    Russian defense channels have announced a new jet-powered version of the BM-35 loitering munition, carrying a 10 kg warhead and capable of flying over 200 km at speeds exceeding 350 km/h. This development makes the new BM-35 unreachable by many current Ukrainian interceptor drones. The jet engine modification follows a pattern established with the Geran family of drones. The BM-35, developed within the ZALA group, has previously been used in strikes on near-rear areas, mobile fire groups, and vessels in the Black Sea. Ukrainian intelligence reports an increase in jet-powered strike drone launches by Russia since the start of 2026.
