Ukrainian-born Congress Candidate Arrested for Knife Threat on Hawaiian Beach
Kirill Basin, a Ukrainian-born Democrat running for the U.S. Congress, was arrested in Hawaii after allegedly threatening to kill someone with a knife during a fight over loud music. The Honolulu Civil Beat reports that Basin attacked a vacationer who asked him to turn down his music, claimed he had a gun, and threatened to shoot the woman's wife. After a fight ensued with a bystander, Basin pulled out a knife and threatened those around him before throwing it into the ocean. He had previously been arrested twice for aggressive behavior, including disorderly conduct and waving a gun at Maui County Hall.7 sourcesSee all sources
