    Meta and BlackRock Form $14B AI Data Center Venture

    Meta and BlackRock have formed a $14 billion joint venture to build and operate a 1 gigawatt data center campus in El Paso, Texas.     DOJ Seeks First-Ever Removal of 'Alien Terrorist' Mother

    The U.S. Department of Justice has filed its first case in the Alien Terrorist Removal Court (ATRC) against Nazira Haji Zada, 47, of Fort Worth, Texas. Zada, an Afghan national and mother of Abdullah Haji Zada and mother-in-law of Nasir Ahmad Tawhedi, is accused of supporting an ISIS-inspired Election Day 2024 mass shooting plot. Her son and son-in-law were previously convicted for their roles in the plot. Zada was arrested this week and will appear before ATRC's Chief Judge Joan Ericksen on Thursday.

    Mexico Seizes 200 Kilos of Methamphetamine in Sonora

    Mexican authorities seized 200 kilos of methamphetamine hidden inside industrial reels in a courier vehicle on a highway in Caborca, Sonora. The driver was arrested, and the drug and vehicle were placed at the disposal of the Public Ministry.     NWSL to Start 2027 Season in February

    The National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) is set to begin its 2027 season in February, nearly a month earlier than previous years, according to sources within the league who have reviewed a tentative calendar. The shift aims to accommodate the congested international soccer calendar, including the 2027 Women’s World Cup in Brazil from June 24 to July 25. The regular season will start on Feb. 11 and conclude at the end of October, with playoffs scheduled for November. Each of the 16 teams will play 15 regular-season home games, including four midweek matches. The league will take a weeklong break in early June and resume after the World Cup on July 30. Decision Day is set for Oct. 31, followed by the playoffs and the NWSL Championship game on Nov. 20.
