    Florida Man Arrested for Attempted Murder in Underwater Lobster Diving Dispute

    Michael Joseph Simpson, 51, was arrested for allegedly attempting to murder a diver during a dispute over a lobster diving spot in Biscayne Bay during Florida's two-day recreational lobster mini season. Simpson is accused of approaching another boat at high speed, threatening to turn off the surface-supplied air system, and intentionally shutting it off while the diver was underwater. The diver was rescued and appeared disoriented but uninjured. Simpson surrendered to authorities and was booked on an attempted murder charge.
