Landslide Disaster in Nepal-Tibet Border Kills Hundreds
A massive landslide occurred at the border of Nepal and Tibet, causing widespread destruction and loss of life. At least 95 people were confirmed dead, with hundreds more missing. The landslide, which was captured on video and in satellite images, widened a riverbed by more than half and buried villages, bridges, and roads under thick mud and debris.
