    Hong Kong Suicide Rates: Increase Among Youth, Decline Among Elderly

    The Hong Kong Samaritans Prevent Suicide Association reported 1019 suicide deaths in 2021, with a 30% increase in youth suicides (aged 19 or below) to 47 cases. The overall suicide rate was 13.57, the lowest since 2020.
