Mujović Refuses to Resign After Councilors Reject Work Report

Podgorica Mayor Saša Mujović has refused to resign despite failing to secure support for his work report from the majority of councilors in the Main City Assembly. He attributed the non-adoption of the report to political relations and stated that he did not want to make compromises for the sake of his function. Mujović pointed to several projects implemented during his term, such as the cleaning of the Mareza channel and the renovation of the Crvena Stijena stadium, as evidence of his administration's achievements. Meanwhile, Miloš Durićković, an expert of the European Union, criticized Mujović's statements as lacking foundation in reality and aiming to demonize the opposition. The Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) called for Mujović's resignation, stating that his continued presence in office without a clear assembly majority would only prolong the political agony in Podgorica.
