Serbia Reduces Drug Prices: Up to 40% Cheaper from Today

President Aleksandar Vučić and Minister of Finance Siniša Mali announced a new support package worth around 600 million euros, including a measure that reduces prices of prescribed drugs by up to 40%. Starting today, August 1, 769 drugs dispensed on prescription are cheaper in pharmacies across Serbia, covering approximately 99.6% of all such medicines. The reduction brings concrete relief to household budgets, with common savings per package ranging between 100 and 500 dinars. The measure is valid for at least 12 months and covers around three million Serbian citizens.
