Neeraj Chopra, the reigning Olympic champion, won the silver medal in the men's javelin throw at the Commonwealth Games 2026. Yashvir Singh secured the bronze medal, making it a historic day for Indian athletics. Chopra, who was returning from injury, produced a season-best throw of 85.83m in his second attempt to finish second. Singh, in his debut Games, threw a personal best 85.41m in his final attempt to clinch the bronze. The duo finished behind Sri Lankan Rumesh Tharanga Pathirage, who won gold with a throw of 89.75m.
