Spanish Government Ignored Intelligence Warnings of Ceuta Invasion

Spanish intelligence services had warned the government of an imminent migrant invasion into the autonomous cities of Ceuta and Melilla, near Morocco, but these warnings were systematically ignored. The intelligence reports mentioned rehearsals, unusual bus arrivals, and even predicted the mass influx that occurred on July 30, 2021. Despite repeated warnings, the government did not deploy the Army to respond to the crisis, leading to the largest migration crisis in Ceuta's history, with around 60,000 migrants entering in less than 24 hours.
