Moldova and Ukraine Agree on Infrastructure Projects, Discuss Nistru River Crisis

The President and Prime Minister of Moldova, Vasile Tofan, held separate telephone conversations with the Prime Minister of Ukraine, Sergei Korecki/Koretsky. They discussed several practical issues important for both countries, including managing the critically low water level in the Novodnistrovsk reservoir to avoid exacerbating the Nistru River crisis. They also agreed to boost and complete the construction of the Cosăuți–Yampil bridge to simplify border crossing and reduce travel time. Additionally, they discussed cooperation between their railways, including transporting Ukrainian grain to the port of Constanța. Both leaders emphasized the strong relationship between Moldova and Ukraine, based on trust, solidarity, and mutual respect.
