Heavy Rain and Flooding Cause Deaths and Damage Across Syria

Heavy rain and flooding have hit wide areas of Syria, causing deaths, injuries, and significant damage to infrastructure. At least 5 people, including 4 children, have died, and 5 others are missing. Civil defense teams have rescued 25 people and evacuated around 375 families from affected camps. The floods have also swept away several bridges and closed major roads, including the Aleppo–Raqqa and Raqqa–Deir ez-Zor routes. The National Meteorological Center warns of the possibility of flash floods in coastal and northwestern regions over the next 24 hours.
