Prosecutors Investigate Withdrawal of Aid to Migrant Minors in Aragon

The Public Prosecutor's Office in Aragon has opened an investigation into the decision by the regional government to withdraw a weekly allowance of 17 euros for unaccompanied foreign minors under community protection. Two specialized prosecutors are analyzing whether the measure violates the superior interest of the minor or constitutes a hate crime. The investigation coincides with a change in the explanation given by the government, which now maintains that the measure is limited to three centers where only foreign minors reside. The government claims that the decision is based on security grounds and is part of the hardening of the internal regime of the centers provided for in the government pact between PP and Vox.
