Germany's KSK Special Forces Prepare for Potential War with Russia

The German Special Forces Command (KSK) is restructuring its training to account for a possible military confrontation with Russia. Soldiers are being trained to stay in the field conditions for much longer, withstand an opponent equipped with tanks, artillery, drones, and electronic warfare means, and operate in extreme cold conditions. The unit is preparing for conditions characteristic of the eastern flank. In case of a conflict, German special forces would need to start operating before the main forces of the Bundeswehr are deployed in the Baltic region.
