Heavy Rain and Thunderstorms Expected in South-Central Brazil This Week

South-Central Brazil is expected to experience heavy rain and a 'wave of thunderstorms' this week, starting from Wednesday (21). The forecast indicates a risk of thunderstorms in the South region and an increase in conditions for intense precipitation in areas of Southeast and Central-West, mainly from Thursday (22). According to Climatempo, the change is associated with the intensification of a low atmospheric pressure area between northern Argentina and Paraguay. The rise in temperatures and increased humidity also favors the formation of storm clouds. In the South, the expansion of the area is expected to cause a new 'wave of thunderstorms,' with Paraná being the main concern. In Rio Grande do Sul, there is a forecast of strong showers, wind gusts, and a possibility of hail. In São Paulo and Mato Grosso do Sul, there is also concern about episodes of intense rain in the coming days.
