US Treasury Secretary Calls European Criticism of US-Russia Diesel Deal Hypocritical

US Secretary of the Treasury Scott Bessent has slammed European countries for criticizing the agreement between the USA and Russia on the supply of diesel fuel, calling their stance 'hypocritical'. Bessent argued that since the beginning of the conflict in Ukraine, Europeans have paid Russia more money than they have provided to Ukraine, as they are unable to refuse Russian energy resources. He stated that their statements about not being able to take measures to reduce diesel prices are therefore 'pure hypocrisy'.
