Mexican Navy Personnel to Testify in Fuel Theft Case

The Federal Attorney General's Office (FGR) has authorized the appearance of seven members of the Mexican Navy Secretariat (SEMAR) as part of the investigation against Manuel Roberto Farías Laguna, accused of fuel theft. The decision follows a request by Farías Laguna's defense to formally integrate the testimonies of the naval personnel into the case file. The interviews will be conducted before the Specialized Prosecutor's Office in Organized Crime (FEMDO) with the presence of the Federal Public Ministry. The defense aims to clarify who participated in the decision-making process, how the operation was developed, and who issued the instructions related to the case. The appearance of the seven sailors is seen as an opportunity to expand the lines of investigation and establish who directed the actions related to the operation.
