The Czech government has introduced a 'price cap' on fuel, making it illegal for petrol stations to sell fuel above set prices. From October 1, petrol can be sold for a maximum of 46.14 CZK/l and diesel for 48.72 CZK/l, an increase of approximately 4 crowns per litre since early September. The state will also limit the margin of petrol stations and temporarily reduce the excise duty on diesel.
