Yemen's Ansar Allah Gains Strength Despite Saudi Intervention

Eleven years into the Saudi-led intervention in Yemen, the Ansar Allah movement has not only maintained control of the capital Sanaa but also expanded its territory along the Red Sea coast. Despite Saudi Arabia's use of air power, local proxies, and international support, Ansar Allah has grown stronger, pushing Saudi-backed allies southwards. The movement now controls significant parts of Yemen's Red Sea coast, including Mocha, Dhubab, and Mayyun Island near the Bab al-Mandab Strait. It is also advancing towards Marib, the last major northern stronghold of the Saudi-backed government. Meanwhile, Saudi Arabia's energy routes are becoming vulnerable, with drones disabling oil pipelines and attacking airbases. Despite international support, Saudi Arabia has failed to weaken Ansar Allah, which is now setting the military balance and the price of Saudi Arabia's exit.
