Israel Vows to Control Al-Tayeb Ridge, Prevent Hezbollah Return

Israel's Defense Minister Benny Gantz and other officials have stated that the Al-Tayeb Ridge (also referred to as Ali Al-Taher or Mount Ali Taher) is part of Israel's security zone in Lebanon, specifically the Yellow Line or Litani Line. After eliminating terrorists and destroying Hezbollah's terror tunnels in the area, the IDF is operationally preparing to control the ridge and prevent any attempt by Hezbollah or any other element to return and re-establish itself there. Anyone approaching the ridge will be destroyed. The security zone covers approximately 700 square kilometers and extends from the western coast through the Beaufort fortress to the Hermon region. Israel has reiterated that it will not withdraw or redeploy its forces until Hezbollah is completely disarmed throughout Lebanon.
